Thing #16-Wikis

Even though I have seen and been referred to Wikipedia when doing Google searches, I was unaware of the fact that users could go and make edits to the information. This is a wonderful way to share volumes of information, but a huge disadvantage, as many of the informational articles cited, is the validity of the information. This aspect could be taken advantage of to distinguish fact from opinion in class lessons.
I personally would love to begin a Wikispace with my students. It would be a great way to refine peer editing, and include parent responses in the learning.
